Call to Cosplay Reality Competition Series Premieres Tonight

Move over, Heroes of Cosplay, there's a new cosplay show in town. Call to Cosplay, a reality competition show produced by George Chung, will premiere on June 30 on Myx TV, an English-language network devoted to multicultural Asian-American entertainment. Episodes will be posted the next day on Crunchyroll, and will be available to premium members for one week.
The series will consist of six episodes, each with different themes, including sports anime, magical girls, American/non-Japanese characters, pre-1990 throwback anime, and heavy metal armor. Each episode will feature two cosplayers who are assigned a theme, a budget, and a mystery element, and must deliver a character and costume in less than eight hours.
In the lead-up to the show's premiere, Myx TV has been running a series of "Cosplay 101" videos, which can be viewed on their Youtube channel.
