Pet Chi of Chi's Sweet Home in New App

For fans of Konami Kanata's manga series Chi's Sweet Home (or its anime adaptation) who long for a chance to interact with its title character, there's now an app to imitate the experience. Neko-no Chi-to Asobunraa: Chi's Sweet Home Appli ("Play with Chi the Cat: The Chi's Sweet Home App") was released for the iPhone and iPad on June 28. It's mostly a "motion comic" portraying Chi's life with the Yamadas using simple language aimed at young children. The first "episode" allows you to pet Chi using the touch screen, while the second tasks you with snapping photos of her.
"Let's pet her on the head and back! Pet nicely!"
"I wonder if she's dreaming."
The app is available for download at Japanese iTunes. The first episode is free, while the second costs 200 yen (about $1.96).
