New Free! Character's 'Spirit Animal' is a Whale Shark

The members of the Iwatobi Swim Club have gotten tons of merchandise, whether its glasses, stamps, tote bags, or jewelry, featuring each character with a corresponding animal. Haruka has his dolphin, Makoto is an Orca, Rin is a shark, Nagisa is a penguin, and Rei is a butterfly.
The Kyoto Animation Shop revealed that the series' newest character, Sosuke Yamazaki, is a whale shark in its latest charm collection. If you aren't familiar with the whale shark, it's a "gentle giant," and the largest surviving fish species. Unlike Rin's toothier animal, the whale shark is "filter-feeding," like a large whale. They're covered in spots, 4.9 ft wide and 31.8 ft long, with over 300 rows of tiny teeth.

The collection includes 10 different charms, eight regular and two "secret" designs. The special page has only revealed six of the designs so far.
