Lady Gaga and Babymetal Idols Rock Out
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Japanese idol group Babymetal, the "hardcore" spin on Japanese idol culture, is opening for popular pop artist Lady Gaga at five different shows on her ArtRAVE tour across the United States. The three idols and Gaga rocked out together at the Phoenix, Arizona show on July 30 where Gaga watched Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal), Moa Kikuchi (Moametal), and Yui Mizono (Yuimetal) during their set. She appears in the security area at about the 0:53 mark.
Gaga isn't any stranger to Japanese pop music. Before Babymetal took over as the opening act, virtual idol Hatsune Miku opened at 15 of the tour's shows.
Lady Gaga's exclusive Hello Kitty doll also made waves, bringing in 2.26 million yen (US$21.729) for charity. Her tour of Japan introduced creepy Gaga dolls, plenty of TV appearances, and of course, weird make-up.
