Card Captor Sakura Clow Cards Reprinted for Nakayoshi's 60th Anniversary

Kodansha's Nakayoshi girls' magazine is celebrating its 60th anniversary just in time to tie-in with the wave of Card Captor Sakura merchandise. The magazine decided to re-release the Clow Book and the 52 Clow Cards to celebrate the occasion.

The set might look familiar if you were a fan of the American version of the show around 2000. Some of the merchandise was brought stateside to tie in with Cardcaptors, including the Clow Book and cards. It was available at a variety of retailers including the now-defunct Blockbuster movie rental locations.

The reprinted set will be available in January. As a nice bonus, Nakayoshi will also reprint a divination manual book that uses the cards for fortune-telling, similar to the traditional Tarot. More info on the release will be announced on Nakayoshi's anniversary website. In the mean time, you could pick-up a pouch to carry your cards in, too.

Need more Card Captor Sakura stuff? NIS America re-released the whole series on Blu-ray. More merchandise, like charms, lottery prizes, figures, and wands are either on sale or coming soon.
