Kumamon Suits Up As an Evangelion For New Collaboration

Kumamon, the bear mascot from Kumamoto Prefecture, has dressed up as Himura Kenshin several times before, but now he's transforming into Evangelion Unit-01.

The strange crossover is thanks to the Evangelion Exhibit, which is making a stop at the Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art starting February 28, 2015. The exhibit has been touring Japan since 2013 and includes model sheets, image boards by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, storyboards, landscape layouts, art pieces, special merchandise, and more.

Visitors will be able to purchase limited edition Eva x Kumamon goods like a rubber keychain and a clear file. Those interested can purchase vouchers in advance through 7-Eleven.
