Karaoke Fans List Their Must-Sing Anime Songs

MyNavi Woman asked 636 readers whether they had any must-sing anime songs they always belted out at karaoke. Most of them said "no," but 15% responded "yes," and were enthusiastic to name their favorites.
Of those who answered yes, 25% said they always sang "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," the opening theme from Neon Genesis Evangelion. 15% said their go-to anime anthem was "Touch," the first opening theme from the Touch anime.
Third and fourth place went to "Butter-Fly," the opening from Digimon Adventure, and "Shangri-La," the opening from Fafner. Fifth place was a tie between "Orion wo nazoru," the first opening from Tiger & Bunny, and "Sousei no Aquarion," the first opening from Aquarion.
Incidentally, of those top five songs picked by readers, only "A Cruel Angel's Thesis," "Butter-Fly" and "Sousei no Aquarion" were in the Top 10 anisongs of the first half of 2014, as reported by karaoke company JOYSOUND. "Touch" was 16th, while "Shangri-La" didn't place, but perhaps they're just impervious to trends of time.
