Otomate, a subsection of Idea Factory that develops otome games like Amnesia, Diabolik Lovers, Hakuōki, and Angelique announced the voice cast for their latest title, KLAP!! ~Kind Love and Punishment~, and it looks...enticing?
The story follows heroine Koyomi Yamashiro, a 23-year-old college grad with her eyes set on being a high school teacher. Unfortunately, Koyomi fails to place at any schools and finds herself teaching in Japan's Oma Prefecture, where she'll be training yokai-boys. She plans to bail on the job offer, but the principal promises to put in a good word for her if she successfully works there for a year.
If you didn't gather from the story description, the game has players making choices as an older woman, and the site's gallery of images leads us to believe the whip she wields isn't just for show. The title is an acronym that includes the word "punishment," after all.
The monster-boy school's class includes:
Showtaro Morikubo as Tōma Mimasaka, a Tengu (long-nosed, bird-like monster). He's the "yankee" that enjoys fighting.
Yūki Kaji as Sosuke Suo, a "cold" half-yokai. His mother was a yuki-onna (snow woman).
Shinnosuke Tachibana as Akito Suruga, a rich and womanizing kappa (a frog-like river monster)
Ryōhei Kimura as Camil Settselin, a cool Western vampire
Tomokazu Sugita as Kanade Harima, a traditional-speaking nekomata (a cat-monster)
Otomate is really pushing the "punish" part in its Gallery section with some highly suggestive, maybe NSFW images.
KLAP!! ~Kind Love And Punishment~ goes on sale for PlayStation Vita in Japan this year.
