Hello Kitty Temporarily Joins Dempagumi Inc. to Promote Healthy Skin

Hello Kitty is temporarily joining the denpa group Dempagumi.inc. for the summer. It is also rebranding itself "Dempagumi.inc. with Pocket Muhi & Hello Kitty." Pocket Muhi is a line of itch relief lotions. With bug season just around the corner, the group will remind their fans to mind their skin by touting an oversized lotion stick and singing the song "Munasawagi no Himitsu?!" ("The Secret of Premonitions?!"), which is about bugs and first love. It goes on sale June 17, and will be performed live on August 20 — World Mosquito Day (it's when Sir Ronald Ross discovered that mosquitoes transmit malaria in 1897).
The new group performed "Munasawagi no Himitsu?!" live at a female-only concert on May 1 in Yokohama Bay Hall.
"We really get to collaborate with that Kitty-chan?" was the group's reaction to the news. "Along with that happy reaction, there was nervousness — 'will this be O.K.?' It's really cute for us to meet Kitty-chan, but unease blew over us too!! But we're idols, after all, so we'll always do our best with Hello Kitty to be cuter. Please cheer us on!"
Dempagumi, Inc. recently performed the opening theme, "PUNCH LINE!" with Shōko Nakagawa for Noitamina's Punch Line anime series.
