Snow Miku 2016 Winning Designs Announced

Piapro announced the winning designs of its Snow Miku 2016 design contest last week. The virtual idol's pet rabbit Yukine returned for the 2016 theme "Enjoying Hokkaido Winter Sports."
The winner is Kotatsu Otogi's owl-inspired skiing Miku and their corresponding skiing Yukine.
The winning design will be adapted into both figma and Nendoroid figures. Over 700 designs were submitted for consideration before Kotatsu Otogi's was chosen. Other finalists included:

The biggest winner might be Hokkaido though. Snow Miku-related goods, services and events bring the island over 100 million yen (about US$839,433) in revenue, with about 40 different companies participating in the promotion.
