Real Initial D Cars Face Off Again to Promote 3rd Film

In honor of the upcoming Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend 3 -Yumeutsutsu- film, two themed cars will compete in a special race car challenge.
The two models will compete in the TRD Rally Challenge. The challenge is different from normal races, and will test the speed and ability of both cars in time attack courses within a designated route.
Each car is backed by a different team. One team will be driving in the red Morpho Initial D Sammy K186. The other will drive in the black-and-white Initial D Fujiwara Tofu Shop Cusco 86.
The same two Initial D cars competed in the 2015 All Japan Rally Championship Round 2 in Ehime prefecture earlier this year as part of the promotional campaign for the Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend 2 -Tōsō- film.
The Cusco 86 will be driven specifically by professional Japanese race car driver Shuhei Muta. Muta has previously won motor sport competitions in Thailand and Malaysia.
A Twitter campaign is also being held in honor of the challenge. Tweeting pictures of the cars and tagging them with "#InitialDRally" will make users eligible to win official movie posters for the upcoming film. 10 people will be chosen and the campaign will take place between October 31 and November 11. Winners will be contacted in the middle of November.
Shin Gekijō-ban Initial D Legend 3 -Yumeutsutsu- will be released on February 6, 2016.
