Fan-Made Live-Action Metroid Brings Samus to Life

Rainfall Films, director Sam Balcomb, and actors Jessica Chobot (Nerdist) and America Young (Halo 5) put an impressive effort into bringing Nintendo's Metroid to life. "Metroid: The Sky Calls" starts out with Samus discussing how a seemingly dead planetary system managed to send her a distress call and she's gone to investigate. Over the next 11 minutes she utilizes the character's well-known abilities from the video game series to find out the cause.
Legend of Zelda is a favorite for fan films, with Western takes and authentic recreations. Rainfall Films previously made an April Fools live-action Zelda trailer themselves back in 2008.
