Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

The somewhat somber representation of Japan from Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia - Axis Powers manga and anime adaptations is getting a 1/6-scale doll by AZONE International.

The doll has articulated joints so you can set him in quizzical or stoic poses.

Japan measures 23cm (9in) high and comes with his white uniform and an alternate sailor uniform. The doll also includes alternate hands. After tax, the doll retails for 14,040 yen (US$114) and pre-orders open on November 27. It is expected to ship in May 2016.

Japan is Azone's fourth in its Asterisk Collection Series. The company also released doll versions of Rin Tohsaka (Fate/stay night), Takao (Arpeggio of Blue Steel), Leviathan (The Seven Deadly Sins), Akuma Homura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion), Miss Monochrome, and more.
