Mamoru Miyano's New Music Video for Ajin Ending Gets Spooky

posted on by Eric Stimson

Voice actor Mamoru Miyano is adding Ajin to the list of anime he's starring in (he plays Kei, the main character) that he also performs the theme songs for. In Ajin's case, it's the ending theme, "How Close You Are." Its music video was released on January 14, and it's decidedly spooky and solemn, in keeping with the anime's bleak tone. It boasts dark visuals, a creepy dancer, and melancholy lyrics like "If my wish could be granted, I'd wish to touch your heart once more" and "As I look up to the stars, [you're] looking up at the same night sky, even though [you're] far away."

For the full version of the video, see GYAO! (Japan only; it will be taken down after February 4). The single, Miyano's 13th, will go on sale on January 27. Miyano has also been in the news for his doodle plushies. For a completely different, much sunnier side of Miyano, check out the ending theme to Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Revolutions, "Shine".
