Love Live! School Idol Festival Event Draws 51,149 in Attendance

The official Twitter account of KLab's Love Live! School idol festival smartphone game announced on Sunday that the game's "School Idol Festival Thanksgiving 2016" event that took place over this past weekend drew an attendance of 51,149 visitors. Last year's event drew 39,459 visitors. The Twitter post also confirmed that there will be a Thanksgiving event next year.

The event already had 10,000 people in line as early as 10:00 a.m. on the first day.

Bushiroad and KLab released the Love Live! School Idol Festival rhythm action and adventure game in English on iOS and Android devices in May 2014. The game app announced in January that it will add the Love Live! Sunshine!! characters to the game this summer. As of March 22, the app has garnered over 15 million users in Japan and over 25 million users worldwide.

The game is getting an arcade version titled Love Live! School idol festival ~afterschool Activity~ that launch in Japan in winter this year. A playable demo of the game was present during the "School Idol Festival Thanksgiving 2016" event.
