The outfits are modeled after the post-transformation magical girl costumes and include soul gem motifs. They are all made from a soft, fluffy material meant for relaxing in. Each outfit can be reserved online until June 19 and will be delivered in mid-September.
The original Madoka Magica anime aired in 2011 and was followed by three movies: Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion. All have been released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in the U.S. by Aniplex USA. Several tie-in and spin-off manga have also been published in English by Yen Press. The story follows a group of girls who have gained magical powers by making a contract with a mysterious creature and now must fight witches in order to survive.
Loungewear based on Mr. Osomatsu, school uniforms, Lelouch's pajamas, Sailor Moon's school uniform, and Cardcaptor Sakura were released within the last year.
