Love Live's Yurika Kubo Promotes Blood Drive in Nara Prefecture
posted on by Eric Stimson
Getting people to voluntarily give up their own blood isn't always easy, forcing blood banks to think of strategies to attract donors. The Nara Prefecture Red Cross Blood Center and the Nara Story Tourism Executive Committee are choosing an appealing face from that prefecture to pull in a young crowd: voice actress Yurika Kubo (Hanayo in Love Live! School idol project, Cha-Komon in Amanchu!, Hiyori in The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura).
"Make a bond with her voice!"
Besides appearing on posters, Kubo has recorded an 8-minute thank-you message that will be played for donors after at least 400 mL (13.5 fluid oz) of their blood is collected. If you're interested, visit the Kintetsu Nara Station building in Nara, the Red Cross Blood Center in Yamatokoriyama, or the blood donation bus touring the prefecture. The campaign lasts from August 11 to September 25.
Kubo is officially designated Ambassador of Blood Donation.
