Fate/Grand Order Smartphone Game Crosses Over With Prisma Illya in Anime Ad

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Type-Moon's official YouTube channel began streaming a new anime television commercial for its Fate/Grand Order smartphone game on Friday. The ad announces a collaboration between the game and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, the magical girl spin-off series based around Fate/stay night's Illyasviel von Einzbern.

Fate/Grand Order will launch an in-game event in mid-September titled "Mahō Shōjo Kikō ~Prisma Cause~ (Magical Girl Journey ~Prisma Causeway~). Manga creator Hiroshi Hiroyama is writing the game event's scenario. Only players that have completed the "Tokui-ten F Enjō Osen Toshi Fuyuki" (Singularity F: Flame Pollution Fuyuki City) event can participate.

Fate/Grand Order's story is set in seven eras of human history. The seven chapters of the story total more than 1 million Japanese characters, and each of the servants also has his or her own story scenario.

Aniplex released the game on Android and iOS devices in July and August, respectively. Kinoko Nasu supervised and wrote the scenario with Yūichirō Higashide and Hikaru Sakurai. Takashi Takeuchi is in charge of character designs and art direction.
