Love Live! Sunshine!! Anime Holds Worldwide 'Image Girl' Poll

The official website for the Love Live! anime franchise announced on Friday that it is holding a Love Live! Sunshine!! "World Image Girl Election." The voting period will run from November 18 to December 18, but a website for the fan poll has yet to launch.
The poll will determine an Aquors poster girl for nine "regions" of the world: Australia, China, Germany, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Fans will vote for each Aquors idol to become an ambassador for one of the locations. Voters can choose from Chika Takami, Riko Sakurauchi, Kanan Matsuura, Dia Kurosawa, Yō Watanabe, Yoshiko Tsushima, Hanamaru Kunikida, Mari Ohara, and Ruby Kurosawa.
People can vote for each Aquors member only once. The highest combination of votes for each region and idol will determine which member becomes the ambassador for each location.
Anyone in the world can participate in the poll, and the anime website already includes poll details in Japanese and English. Details in five other languages are listed as "coming soon."
The franchise has held numerous character popularity polls, and 7-Eleven held a separate Love Live! Sunshine!! "image girl" poll earlier this fall. Yō Watanabe led in the intermediary results, but Riko Sakurauchi won the contest.
Other polls include the center for the group's upcoming third single. Kanan Matsūra was elected the winner of that poll. The character Yoshiko Tsushima was elected as the image girl for the newly opened Numazu Gamers! store.
