This year's Sapporo Snow Festival has even more amazing displays. While the Final Fantasy VII sculpture is a definite must-see, the festival also offers renditions of popular celebrities, this year's Hatsune Miku, historical landmarks, and Star Wars' C3PO.

The Hatsune Miku sculpture is the subject of a mini-light show that played every 30 minutes. The show plays the idol's theme song for 2017, "Star Night Snow."

School Girl Strikers is back from last year to celebrate the mobile game's anime adaptation.

The school girls of Love Live! Sunshine!! are all lined up in a super-deformed sculpture.

Shin Godzilla is also on hand, looking much more friendly than his usual self.

Both Mario and Pikachu are also popular subjects.

President Trump, performing the meme-hit Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen, next to the song's creator Picotarō.

Other recognizable faces include Arale, Yōkai Watch, and Fullmetal Alchemist.
