The identity of Detective Conan's 'Shadow Person' gravure star was revealed to be none other than 17-year-old idol and actress Nana Asakawa. Publisher Shogakukan revealed the SUPER ☆ GiRLS member as the girl behind the mask in this year's 14th issue of Weekly Shōnen Sunday on March 1.

In the issue, Asakawa wears a black full-body leotard to take on the role. She also appears in more standard gravure fare, like a bikini. Asakawa was born on April 3, 1999 and said she signed on to do the photo shoot because she is a fan of Detective Conan. She previously appeared in a commercial for one of the Detective Conan escape games at Universal Studios Japan.

Asakawa is starring in the upcoming live-action film project of Ritz Kobayashi's Saki manga as Nodoka Haramura.
