Singer DAIGO Armors Up in New Monster Hunter XX Commercials

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Singer and BREAKERZ band member DAIGO (DAIGO Naitō) is a long-time collaborator with the Monster Hunter game franchise. He and comedian Satoshi Inoue pair up again in a new set of commercials for Monster Hunter XX. Both are shown wearing Hunter equipment and riding on an airship while playing the game.

CAPCOM is also streaming behind-the-scenes videos of all the work that went into making the commercials' props and promotional materials.

Monster Hunter XX will be released on March 18.

CAPCOM began streaming the third promotional video for Monster Hunter XX earlier this month. The game will feature a new "Style Power-up," which allows players to designate a Hunting Art as an "SP Art," granting benefits to the whole party on activation. The game will also include a new new Brave Style, a new field called "Igunrei" and a new "Ryūshikisen" base. The game will feature six main monsters, including: Gammoth, Astalos, Mizutsune, and Glavenus, and the new main monsters Balfarc and a new Diablos variant.

People who have save data from Monster Hunter X (pronounced "Cross") can transfer their save data to Monster Hunter XX. Additionally, those who have save data from Monster Hunter Stories will also get a special bonus in Monster Hunter XX.

The game will retail for 5,800 yen (about US$55) for the package version, and 5,546 yen (US$53) for the download version.
