Sony's Kirito and Asuna wireless headphones sold out almost immediately after unexpectedly high demand depleted its stock. The headphones were created as a collaboration item for Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale and went on sale for a limited time starting on February 22. The company planned to sell both of types of the headphones until April 28, but announced on April 14 that the item was sold out. Sony first announced that there was possibility that stock would run out before the end of the campaign on April 7.

The high-resolution, noise-cancelling bluetooth headphones were sold in black to represent Kirito and red to represent Asuna. Each pair sold for 39,880 yen (US$368).

Sony is still selling its limited edition Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale Walkman A series. The device comes pre-installed with LiSA's "Catch the Moment" single, the song used as the film's theme song. The Walkman A variants cost 26,880 yen (US$248) and will be available until April 28.

The Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale anime has sold more than 1.6 million tickets to earn more than 2.3 billion yen (about US$20.8 million) at the Japanese box office as of April 6. The film opened in Japan on February 18 and in the United States on March 9.
