Vaqso Inc. CEO Kentaro Kawaguchi has announced a collaboration with the game VR Kanojo that will let players smell the scent of their virtual girlfriend and her pantyhose using a Vasqo VR scent device that can work in collaboration with Oculus VR, Vive, and PlayStation VR. Attendees at the Unity developer event Unite 2017 Tokyo, which will be held at the Tokyo International Forum on May 8 and 9, will be able to try the game out at the Illusion company booth.
The Vasqo scent device is a small cartridge that can be attached to a VR headset by means of an adapter. It has a battery life of 2 hours and the final model is planned to use 5 different scent cartridges, which will have a shelf-life of 1 month. The device is currently still in development, so the specifications are subject to change. The working prototype currently only uses 3 different scent cartridges.
After the main character of VR Kanojo, Sakura Yuuhi, invites the player into her room, they will be able to, "experience her scent to their heart's content." The experience is described as, "incredibly stimulating."
VR Kanojo was released in February 2017 and can be played with the Oculus VR and Vive VR headsets.
Another VR game company recently gave fans a chance to undergo a marriage ceremony with a virtual bride at a real wedding chapel in Tokyo, and the CEO of Pokémon Go's Niantic has called VR a "problem for society."
