Singer Daigo Gets Emotional After Watching Madoka Magica Films

Watching the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime is an emotional experience for many fans. The series may gain some new viewers this week because it ranked at #3 on NHK's Best Anime 100 list. Singer DAIGO was apparently new to the franchise's films until this week. After spotting some real-life Mario Kart drivers, he purchased a set of the Madoka Magica films (Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 1: Beginnings, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 2: Eternal, Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion) in Akihabara on Friday. He watched the films with his wife Keiko Kitagawa and shared his thoughts on Twitter:

Although DAIGO said that he can't become a magical girl because he is a man, he described his wife as a beautiful female warrior like Sailor Moon and himself as Ultraman. He added that it seemed like his wife wants to become Homura.

After watching the third film in the trilogy, the singer had a fresh outlook on love. DAIGO said, "love is wonderful" and "love is terrible." He also said that his wife was having trouble recovering from despair after watching the film, but she would cheer up. He remarked, "This is also love."
