Couple Ties the Knot With Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest Wedding

Engaged couples who share a love for a special interest as great as their adoration for each other sometimes take the ultimate plunge with themed weddings. For example, two fans chose to hold an elaborate Pokémon-themed wedding last year. Two more unnamed gamers tied the knot with the help of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest on Friday.
Twitter user UkiUki-san posted images from the wedding. A game package (pictured above) labeled the wedding as "Bridal Fantasy" for PS5.5 (a reference to the wedding date). A game-inspired seating arrangement image (pictured below) depicted attendees as characters and told them where to sit at the reception.
The cake's Dragon Quest-inspired text read, "A Slime and Chocobo draw near at the reception!"
A real escape game served as the entertainment.
The ring box and bride's nails also showcased the theme.
With more otaku-themed matchmaking events and services gaining popularity, this bride and groom are likely only the next of many fans to choose such themed weddings. Even without a real-life partner, one otaku will soon be able to have the VR wedding of their dreams with a 2D waifu.
