Kemono Friends Theme Tops Newly Released Karaoke Tracks for 2017

The popularity of the Kemono Friends soundtrack and character CDs aren't limited to just disc sales. Fans are also belting out the "Yōkoso Japari Park e" (Welcome to Japari Park) theme song at JOYSOUND karaoke establishments. The company released the top selected songs for this year's first half and "Yōkoso Japari Park e" took the top spot for newly released songs in the overall and anime categories.

The Japari Café character song album and the anime's original soundtrack – ranked #1 and #2, respectively, on Oricon's weekly album chart for the June 5-11 week.

Coming in second in the newly released anime song category is "Doko Made mo ~How Far I'll Go~" from the Japanese release of Disney's Moana followed by LiSA's "Catch the Moment" from Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale.

While "Yōkoso Japari Park e" dominated the two new song categories, it didn't make JOYSOUND's overall ranking or the anime/game/sci-fi category overall ranking. Those were dominated by RADWIMPS' theme for Makoto Shinkai's your name. film as well as staples like Neon Genesis Evangelion's "Cruel Angel's Thesis". Anime and game music highlights from the overall category include:

"Zen Zen Zense" also topped this year's list of anime, video game, and tokusatsu themes.

The Japanese karaoke company DAM released its list for 2016 in April. Themes from Stand By Me Doraemon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and your name. were also top contenders.
