Brock & Misty Return to Pokémon Anime After 15 Years

Unlike Ash, fans experienced some growing pains with the start of the Pokémon Sun & Moon television anime. Viewers has to say goodbye to Serena after 140 episodes and also adjust to drastic character design changes. Meanwhile, those of us who grew up with the series' start still hold a nostalgic torch for Ash's original companions: Brock and Misty. Well, the wait is finally over.
The anime will reintroduce Brock and Misty to a whole new audience for two consecutive episodes beginning on September 14. Brock formally left the show after the Diamond & Pearl anime concluded in 2010. Misty left earlier, at the end of the original anime series in 2002. Both characters haven't appeared in the show together in 15 years. Even the recent Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! film that recounts the beginning of Ash's journey didn't include either character.
Misty's (Kasumi) voice actress Mayumi Iizuka tweeted her excitement about the upcoming episodes on Tuesday.

"My steady" is Kasumi's catchphrase. She shouts it in the anime while throwing a Pokéball.
Ash's old friends will appear in "Kantō de Alola! Takeshi to Kasumi!!" (Kanto in Alola! Brock and Misty!!) and "Gym Battle! Z Waza vs Mega Shinka!" (Gym Battle! Z-Moves vs Mega Evolution) episodes. What kind of new Pokémon do you think the two acquired since their exit many years ago?
