The Tokyo Skytree Town complex is collaborating with Macross to celebrate the franchise's 35th anniversary. The "Macross 35th Anniversary Macross Blue Moon Show Case in Tokyo Skytree" event will be held inside Tokyo Skytree from January 9 to February 28.

Tokyo Skytree's Tembo Galleria will have decorations featuring Macross characters, and the video content related to the franchise will screen on the Tembo Deck. Tokyo Skytree's shop will offer collaboration merchandise, and the tower's cafe will have a collaboration menu.

Tickets for the event will go on sale in December. Special tickets offering priority access to the Tembo Galleria and Tembo Deck will be available and bundle a limited-edition novelty item. Admission to the event itself will be free, but tickets for Tokyo Skytree's viewing platforms will be required.

Tokyo Skytree also held an Attack on Titan event this summer.

The "Macross 35 Shūnen x Haneda Kentarō 10th Memorial 'Chōjikū Kangengaku' remember Healthy Wings Orchestra" (Macross 35th Anniversary x Kentarō Haneda 10th Memorial 'Super Dimension Orchestral Music' remember Healthy Wings Orchestra) concert was held at the Tokyo International Forum on September 17. The concert also marked the 10th anniversary of the death of composer Kentarō Haneda. The franchise unveiled 35th anniversary stamps in August.

The Gekijō-ban Macross Delta: Gekijō no Walkūre (Macross Delta the Movie: Passionate Walkūre) film will open on February 9.
