Heroines of shōjo manga often appear with four-pointed sparkles in their eyes as they ogle their crushes. Fans of girl-oriented series can now appear just like their counterparts on the page. This year's third and fourth combined issue of Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine shipped on Thursday with a star-shaped selfie light.
People who attach the light to their phones while taking selfies will appear with shōjo manga-style sparkles in their eyes in their photographs. The light is sure to be a hit among people aiming for "Insta-bae" photos.
Other recent innovations in the world of otaku selfies include a Sailor Moon selfie stick and app stamps that let users appear as anime characters.
