2nd Annual Anime Career Fair Targets New Graduates

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Every year at around this time in Japan, many college seniors are devoting their time to job hunting before graduating in March. Young people aiming to enter the anime industry can get some extra help this spring at a specialized career fair. W@KU WORK is holding its second annual anime industry employment fair in Tokyo on March 6.

W@KU WORK was founded in 2016, and its activities include holding lectures for students conducted by representatives of the content industry. The company held its first anime employment fair in 2017, and more than 450 people attended. Due to favorable reviews from both participants and companies, W@KU WORK decided to hold the event again this year.

The event is aimed at students graduating soon and recent graduates who are interested in working in the anime industry. Anime studios, production companies, merchandise makers, retailers, and media companies will participate in the event.

The event will be held at Ota City Industrial Plaza PiO in Tokyo's Ōta ward. Attendance will be free, but participation is limited to 2,000 people. Advance registration is required.

Illustrator Shimahara designed the key visual for the event.
