Kim Kardashian Colors Hair Pink Due to Anime 'Obsession'

Taking after the likes of Naruto's Sakura and Madoka Magica's title magical girl, American celebrity Kim Kardashian colored her hair pink on Sunday. After a fan noted on social media that Kardashian now looks like an anime character, she confirmed, "I am obsessed with anime. That was legit my inspo."

Kardashian also posted two articles on her personal website to explain the change.
Funimation got in on the media frenzy and fun surrounding Kardashian's new look. After she confirmed anime was her inspiration, the company's official Twitter account replied to her tweet.

The tweet is a reference to the "Stronger" music video from Kanye West, Kardashian's husband. West confirmed back in 2007 that the video was directly inspired by Katsuhiro Ōtomo's anime film Akira. West also owned a custom Akira motorcycle that went up for sale in 2011. The bike was produced for the video, but it did not appear in the final cut.
