posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Shueisha released Shinsaku Nagata's One Piece picture book Hikari to Yami to: Luffy to Ace to Sabo no Monogatari (One Piece picture book Light and Dark: Luffy, Ace, and Sabo's Story) in a standalone format on Friday.

Shueisha previously published the story in three parts, included with the three-issue One Piece Magazine set that shipped in July, August, and September last year. The magazines also featured a serialized novel about Ace, interviews, recipes, lists of what music manga creator Eiichiro Oda is listening to, a "what if" short manga by Oda, crafting projects, fanart, Oda character sketches, manga by other creators, merchandise information, quizzes, and more.

One Piece picture book Hikari to Yami to: Luffy to Ace to Sabo no Monogatari tells the story of Ace, Sabo, and Luffy's childhood together in Goa Kingdom. The new standalone version of the book includes large-scale revisions.

Shueisha published the One Piece Magazine set as part of One Piece's 20th anniversary in July 2017. Other 20th anniversary celebrations included a summer festival at Tokyo One Piece Tower, figures, a collaboration with the city of Kyoto, and the upcoming One Piece: World Seeker game.

Shueisha also published the latest Color Walk illustration book for One Piece, titled Wolf Color Walk 8, on Friday. The 88th volume of the manga also shipped on Friday.
