Prince of Tennis Manga Creator Holds His 2nd Solo Concert

Prince of Tennis manga creator Takeshi Konomi announced during a livestream on Friday that he will hold his second solo concert at Pacifico Yokohama on June 10. The concert's title will be "Konomi Takeshi✮Perfect Live ~Hitori All Teni Puri Festa 2018~" (Takeshi Konomi✮Perfect Live: Solo All-Prince of Tennis Fest 2018), and it will feature Prince of Tennis music.
Konomi will host two concerts: one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Prince of Tennis characters Eishirō Kite and Yūshi Oshitari will appear via virtual reality technology. Tickets cost 7,560 yen (about US$72), and the first wave of advance sales began on Friday.
Konomi signed an exclusive performing contract with Shueisha in 2015 and held his first solo concert in 2016. He also held a charity concert with Prince of Tennis characters to benefit the victims of the Kumamoto earthquakes in 2016.
Konomi launched his original Prince of Tennis manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1999. The franchise is inspiring a new OVA project that will screen in theaters in Japan this year.
