Dengeki is celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Macross franchise is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and Macross Frontier is celebrating its 10th anniversary. As part of the anniversary celebrations, Dengeki Hobby and Macross are teaming up to produce life-size figures of Macross Frontier's two heroines Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee. The figure will have Sheryl in her "Lion" costume, and Ranka in her "Seikan Hikō" costume.

Dengeki Hobby is working on a prototype now for the figures, and will release more information at a later date. The images above might not represent the shape of the final figure design.

Last March, Sheryl Nome (as voiced by real-life singer May'n) returned in a new animated music video for the song "Gooorgeous," also as part of the 35th anniversary celebrations. Other celebrations include virtual reality, live music concert, theater, planetarium, amusement center, projection mapping display, toy, shop, and network projects.

Additionally, composer Kentaro Haneda was honored as part of the celebrations in a concert held in Tokyo on September 17.

In January, the franchise held a collaboration event at the Tokyo Skytree.
