Suit Up! It's Evangelion Penguins on Parade
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Matsue Vogel Park in Shimane prefecture is a beautiful spot for a day excursion. The aviary is home to trick owl flyers, a swan lake, hanging gardens, and an adorable parade of penguins.
Twice a Day, the penguins born at the park take a waddle down the thoroughfare to the delight of visitors. Each bird is dressed up in its own regalia, sometimes it's little capes and sometimes it's penguin plug suits in case of invading Angels.
The parading penguins wore handmade, felt plug suits at the park starting on April 28. That is, except for the designated "Pen Pen" of the group (whose 'real name' is Nanami).
出張イベント中でも、ペンペン(ななみ)は終始リラックスした様子でした。

All of the outfits are handmade by the penguin keepers and were designed in collaboration with the ongoing Evangelion Art Exhibition at the nearby Shimane Art Museum. The birds will keep their penguin battle gear until July 9, the final day of the exhibition.
