Kemono Friends' Fennec Voice Actress Dotes on Degu for Her Birthday

Voice actress Kana Motomiya, voice of Kemono Friends' Fennec, appeared in the latest episode of the "Kana to Tsuki no, Sai wa Nagerareta!" livestream program, which is related to the Call of Cthulhu TRPG, on Tuesday. Her fellow cast members on the program apparently surprised Motomiya with a special cake for her birthday, which is May 26. Motomiya tweeted pictures of herself and the cake that features the likeness of someone very special: her pet degu named Kisuke.

Motomiya thanked the program's staff for the birthday wishes and some kind of wedding ceremony with Kisuke. The voice actress also said in the tweet that she "became a degu wife."

Motomiya often tweets about Kisuke, who lives a pampered life in her care.

Kemono Friends conceptual designer Mine Yoshizaki honored Kisuke by creating the franchise's character Common Degu. The character appeared as part of a collaboration with Nagasaki Bio Park zoo this past winter.
