Virtual Youtubers Kizuna Ai, Kaguya Luna, And Others Reveal Figure Lineup at Summer Wonder Festival 2018

First it was Kizuna Ai. Then came Kaguya Luna. Now a whole fray of virtual Youtubers are getting their own figures and nendoroids.

Virtual Youtubers are anime-like characters who are made with 3D animation software, and whose movements are rendered through motion capture. The most popular of them are Kizuna Ai and Kaguya Luna, whose nendoroids were first revealed earlier this year at the Winter Wonder Festival.

Since then, further plans for virtual Youtuber nendoroids have been revealed. New nendoroids for Cyber Girl Shiro, Mirai Akari, Nekomiya Hinata, Tsukino Mito, Virtual Noja Loli Kitsunemusume Youtuber Ojisan were displayed in various stages of development at Good Smile's Summer Wonder Festival 2018 booth. Scale figures for Kizuna Ai, Kaguya Luna, and Shiro were also revealed.

Good Smile Company also announced a Hatoba Tsugu nendoroid via their Twitter account. Fans have reacted with surprise, as the concept behind her character is mysterious, and her channel itself has only six videos uploaded at the time of this writing.

At the retailer Kotobukiya's booth, a vote was being held to decide which expression the scale figure for Shiro would have. There were three options to vote for: Smirk, Starry Eyes, and Smile.

Wonder Festival is a biannual event where official makers and fans show off their latest and upcoming figures. Summer Wonder Festival 2018 was held on July 29 at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba.
