Leafeon Trainer is the Final Character to Join Eevee Character Design Project
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Project Eevee is a special spin-off merchandise campaign dedicated to Pokémon's most evolved monster. Merchandiser MOVIC is helping support the venture by enlisting popular illustrators to draw trainer companions for the different evolutions, and the first round debuted in late April, followed by three more in June. Artists Yumenōchi, Dan Ichikawa, Kuraen Mori, Mengo Yokoyari, Nachi Aono, Nakahara, Lily Hoshino, and pako designed the trainers for Vaporeon, Glaceon, original Eevee, Sylveon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon and Umbreon.
Joining the crew is Leafeon with their respective trainer drawn by Mai Hanamura. Hanamura is the original character designer for the Amnesia and Sengoku Night Blood otome visual novels. Leafeon's trainer, Hinata Asō, is a second year high school student, the student council president, and popular with girls. Hinata spent her youth in the Kalos region where her father is an important person within the area. His father became a target of a dangerous organization and so Hinata went into hiding, masquerading as a boy. She now exudes a mysterious, prince-like personality with her Leafeon.
What MOVIC and Project Eevee plan to do with this characters is also unclear. Which one is your favorite so far?
