Saga Prefecture's Gintama Collaboration Kicks Off With Video, Statue Unveiling

The Sagaharu Project, a collaboration between Saga Prefecture and the Gintama franchise, launched on Friday and continues until September 17. A special version of the trailer for the second live-action Gintama film recently debuted for the project.
In the video, Saga's trademark seaweed and balloon festival appear. The video's subtitles change the characters' words into Saga dialect.
The unveiling ceremony for the project's Sagaharu character statue was held at JR Saga Station on Friday. Saga prefectural governor Yoshinori Yamaguchi and the train station's station master appeared at the event. The project's official Twitter account posted photos.

People who attended the unveiling ceremony received Sagaharu sun visors. The audience was limited to 30 people who applied the morning of the event.
The Sagaharu Project also includes special merchandise and a shop, themed hotel rooms, and restaurant promotions.
The third wave of the collaboration between Saga Prefecture's regional revitalization project Sagaprise! and Yuri!!! on Ice is running until August 31.
