Natsume's Book of Friends Film Gets Cracker Collaboration, Special Exhibit

Gekijōban Natsume Yūjin-Chō: Utsusemi ni Musubu (Natsume's Book of Friends the Movie: Tied to the Temporal World), the anime film of Yuki Midorikawa's Natsume's Book of Friends (Natsume Yūjin-Chō) manga, is collaborating with Kameda Seika's Happy Turn rice crackers. Kazuhiko Inoue, voice of the anime's Nyanko-sensei, recorded a special collaboration commercial that began streaming on Friday. In the video, Nyanko-sensei describes the snack and sings its slogan.
Nyanko-sensei will also be a key feature of the a special exhibit for the film that its official website announced on Friday. The exhibit will be held from October 17-24 at the MATSUYA GINZA department store in Tokyo.
The event will feature a giant two-meter (about seven-foot) plush of Nyanko-sensei. In addition, the exhibit will have chronological panels for the six Natsume's Book of Friends television anime seasons, a display of fancy paper boards from the anime film's main cast, photo spots, and a variety of other displays. Merchandise available for purchase will include plushes of the triple Nyanko-sensei from the film.
The anime film will premiere on September 29 in Japan.
