Kanjani Eight's Shingo Murakami Stars in Special Sazae-san Anime

Male idol group KANJANI Eight member Shingo Murakami will guest star as himself in a special Sazae-san anime that will air during the upcoming episode of the FNS27-Jikan Terebi Nihonjin wa Nani o Tabetekita no ka? (FNS 27 Hours TV: What Do Japanese People Eat?) program. Murakami is the "captain" of the live-action program, and the anime will debut in the episode that will air on September 9 at 6:00 p.m.
The special Sazae-san anime is a collaboration with the live-action television program. In the story, titled "Wagaya no Misoshiru Kikō" (Travelogue of Our Family's Miso Soup), Murakami will appear as a young man and talk with the anime's Isono family about miso (fermented bean paste). In the story, Masao drops his wallet when he is drunk, and Murakami goes to return it to him. The anime will also feature the "Nēsan to Hanazawa-san" and "Boku-tachi Okoshi-tai" stories.
Murakami already recorded his lines for the anime. When he saw video of his character during the recording session, he praised the character design by saying, "It's really me!"
