Respect for the Aged Day, a Japanese holiday that honors senior citizens, fell on September 17 this year. The 15th compiled book volume of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga will ship in Japan on September 19. To mark both occasions, the manga's official website revealed a special "Silver Kamuy" manga on Monday.

The manga compiles seven chapters of the Golden Kamuy manga and remakes them with all of the characters, animals included, turned into elderly versions of themselves. In addition to changing characters' appearances from the original manga, the special manga changes the dialogue and story. Remakes of the following chapters appear in the manga:

  • 20: "Disagreement"
  • 51: "Everybody's Staying at the Murder Hotel!!"
  • 52: "Selfish Longing"
  • 53: "Ushiyama the Undefeated"
  • 54: "Message"
  • 115: "Plague of Locusts"
  • 116: "Blue Eyes"

Noda launched the ongoing manga in Shueisha's Young Jump magazine in 2014. The manga's 15th volume will bundle an anime DVD focusing on the manga's Barato arc.

The second season of the manga's television anime will premiere on October 8. Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs, and Funimation will stream an English dub.
