The staff of the The Royal Tutor anime revealed on Tuesday that the franchise will get an anime film in February, and no one is more excited than manga creator Higasa Akai. Akai took to Twitter on Tuesday to share an illustration and share the good news.

The Royal Tutor movie will be released on February 16!! I was allowed to supervise the movie's original story. Here's the movie announcement celebration picture!

The new movie will have two new characters, the sadistic "Twin Princes" of the Ramano kingdom: Ivan and Eugene Aleksandrovich. (Note: Name romanizations are not official.)

The television anime wrapped up with an original ending last year. The anime's final story was a tearjerker for both Akai and Heine voice actor Keisuke Ueda.

Katsuya Kikuchi returns from the TV series to direct the film, and Kimiko Ueno is returning for the script. Rena Okuyama is still credited with the animation character design, and is also taking on the role of chief animation director. Hozumi Gōda and Keiji Inai are returning as sound director and music composer, respectively.
