A Place Further Than the Universe's Shirase, Hinata Get Nendoroid Figures

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Some of the newest characters journeying into Good Smile Company's Nendoroid figure lineup are A Place Further Than the Universe's Shirase Kobuchizawa and Hinata Miyake. The Antarctic adventurers are traveling to homes everywhere next May and June, respectively.

Shirase can show three expressions while wearing her expedition jacket. In addition to the standard face, the twitching expression face plate lets fans pair it with the microphone accessory to recreate the anime's reporting scenes. The crying face plate can combine with an included laptop to recreate the scene where Shirase finds emails to her mother. Other optional parts include a helmet, goggles, mask, shovel, poster paper, penguin, and the "treasure" she left in Antarctica.

As for Hinata, she also wears her outfit she donned after arriving in Antarctica. Her face plates are standard, winking, and crying, the last of which is inspired by a scene from the anime's episode 11. Hinata's optional parts include a video camera, shaved ice, helmet, goggles, mask, and a special stand with removable snow pile.

The Shirase figure costs 5,200 yen (about US$46), and the Hinata figure costs 5,000 yen (about US$44). The preorder period for Shirase closed on Thursday, but Good Smile Company's online shop is accepting preorders for Hinata until November 22.
