Celebrates Matsue City as home of ghost story writer Koizumi Yakumo

Acclaimed manga and anime creator Leiji Matsumoto designed and supervised a Flash anime short of the classic Japanese folklore character Yuki-onna (Snow Woman). The artist FROGMAN (Eagle Talon) directed the short at his studio DLE, which began streaming the short on its YouTube channel on Monday:

The short marks the fifth anniversary of the "Kaidan no Furusato Matsue" (Matsue: The Hometown of Ghost Stories) campaign. The tourism campaign promotes Matsue City in Shimane Prefecture as the home of Lafcadio Hearn, the writer who wrote down a celebrated series of Japanese folklore under the pen name Koizumi Yakumo.

As he has frequently done in his previous works, Frogman lended his voice to the cast that also includes voice actor Chafurin and novelist Hirokatsu Kihara. (All three voice cast members are tourism ambassadors for Matsue City.)
