Soul Eater, Fireworks Singer Kana Nishino Gets Married

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
She put her career on indefinite hiatus last month

Singer Kana Nishino announced on Monday that she tied the knot yesterday, a day that also happened to be her 30th birthday. Nishino, who put her career on hiatus in February, married her former manager. He's said to resemble Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa.

The pair were first spotted jogging together in November 2016 and tabloids reported that he handsome "like a samurai". After the couple were spotted by the press, her then-boyfriend resigned from his position as her manager but continued working in a company associated with Nishino's talent office, according to an acquaintance.

The couple dated for three years before getting married on Sunday. Nishino had announced her plans to put her singing career on hold in January and she held her last concert at the Yokohama Arena on February 3. The couple plan to embark on international travels together for their honeymoon.

Nishino made her singing debut as an 18-year-old college student in 2008. She performed the second ending theme for the Soul Eater anime series, the theme song for the Naruto Shippūden: The Lost Tower film, the insert song "if" for the Fireworks, Should We See it from the Side or the Bottom? film, and five songs for last year's 3D Kanojo Real Girl live-action film.
