Granblue Fantasy Song 'Ain Soph Aur' Gets Animated Music Video

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The official YouTube account for the Granblue Fantasy smartphone game began streaming an animated music video for the 16th character song single "Ain Soph Aur" on Tuesday. The song represents the character Sandalphon and is sung by his voice actor Kenichi Suzumura. The video also depicts the characters Lucifer and Belial.

Players that purchase the single also receive a code for a Sandalphon game skin, an S rare or higher weapon ticket, and three elixirs.

The song's title is a reference to Jewish Kabbalah and is referenced in the apocryphal book The Sophia of Jesus Christ. Sandalphon is an angel referred to in Jewish, Christian, and Islam texts (although not directly named in The Bible itself).

The Granblue Fantasy game inspired an anime series in 2017. A second season is slated to premiere in October.

The staff introduces the new season's story:

The boy, who looked up to the skies and aimed for the Island of Stars, has linked his fate and life with the mysterious blue-haired girl who fell from the skies. What the boy and girl encountered on their journey were companions they could count on and then an airship heading to their destination.

The two deepened their bonds and came of age while evading the pursuing empire and encountering the Primal Beasts. However, their path to the Island of Stars is but half complete. The boy and girl advance to their next journey with their companions.

Aniplex of America streamed the first season on the services Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Anime Strike. Aniplex has since released the first anime season in two Blu-ray Disc sets last year.
