Momoiro Clover Z's Chibi Maruko-san Theme CD Includes Anime Music Video

Idol group Momoiro Clover Z's new single "Odoru Ponpokorin" will include an animated music video when its released on August 28. The track will serve as the new theme song for the long-running Chibi Maruko-chan anime series.
Additionally, the CD includes tracks of the idols singing with the anime's characters and a live recording of the group performing the song in concert from last year.
Momoiro Clover Z are the ambassadors for the anime's 30th anniversary. The anime first premiered in 1990 followed by a second season in 1995. The series has remained on the air ever since and is consistently the #2 rated anime series after Sazae-san. Creator Momoko Sakura passed away due to breast cancer at the age of 53 on August 15.
Momoiro Clover Z have performed theme songs for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', Bodacious Space Pirates, and Pokémon: Black and White. The grou's four members— Kanako Momota, Shiori Tamai, Ayaka Sasaki, and Reni Takagi — appeared in a episode of Layton Mystery Tanteisha: Katori no Nazotoki File in February.
