Konosuba Fan Community Allows Members to Become Curators of Official Fanbook
posted on by Kim Morrissy
It's common for a popular anime and manga series to get fanbook anthologies filled with tribute art and manga by other artists. It's not so common for the readers to have direct involvement in the production of these books, but joining a Konosuba fan community for 800 yen a month will allow you to become an "online editor" for the Konosuba fanbook.
The project, which is called "Kono Subarashii Dokusha to Issatsu Wo!" (A Book With Wonderful Readers), is a collaboration with the Kadokawa-operated online service ej*. Besides editor privileges in the fanbook, members of the fan community will have complete access to every episode of the Konosuba anime (including the OVAs) and the ability to participate in online and real-life meetings regarding the fanbook's production. Members who have signed up before for at least seven months from August 2019 will also have their names credited in the fanbook.
Interested fans can sign up through ej*'s website or app.
The original light novels by Natsume Akatsuki inspired two television anime seasons. The first season premiered in January 2016, and the second season premiered in January 2017. The Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! Kurenai Densetsu (KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! Crimson Legend) anime film will debut on August 30.
